At least 901 students at more than 128 colleges and universities have had their visas revoked or their legal status terminated in recent weeks, according to the Associated Press. This includes Central Washington University where two international students had their visas revoked by the federal government. 


The 11th President's Diversity Awards happens tonight with a keynote by Patrisse Cullors an American activist, artist, and writer who co-founded the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.  This takes place at 4:00 PM  in the SURC Ballroom.


Ellensburg Police Officer Clayton Self has been selected to be the new School Resource Officer. He will start his three-year term in fall 2025.

SPORTS


Three days after their rugby teams lost in the playoffs, Central Washington University has decided to discontinue varsity support for its two rugby programs.


The Ellensburg Boys Soccer Team beat Toppenish 2-1 on Tuesday.


The Ellensburg Boys Baseball team beat Toppenish 8-4 on Tuesday. 


The CWU Wildcat Invitational Track and Field Event happens this Friday here in Ellensburg


The CWU Men’s Baseball Team plays Northwest Nazarene tomorrow at noon in a home game.


The CWU Women’s baseball team plays Western Washington University in a home game also on Friday.

The forecasted high today in Ellensburg  is 66 degrees with a low of 34 degrees. The sunset is at 7:54 p.m. with winds out of the West Northwest at 5 -10 MPH. The high on Friday is 71, 61 on Saturday and 58 on Sunday. 


LUNCH


The FISH Open Table Lunch is Filipino Chicken with rice, broccoli and mandarin oranges. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
