NEWS
The city of Ellensburg is holding two workshops to allow community members to participate in a structured conversation about an amendment to the city’s Comprehensive Plan, focused around Chapter 9 which addresses Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Community members are encouraged to attend one of these workshops, structured in the same manner but held at different times to allow for schedule flexibility: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, both at the Hal Holmes Community Center.
With clouds of uncertainty covering Cle Elum amid the city’s pursuit of Chapter 9 bankruptcy, the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners pulled more than $6.5 million in funding from the proposed Upper Kittitas County Community Recreation Center and renovations to the Washington State Horse Park.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Columbia Basin’s Kittitas Clubhouse received a major boost to its digital education efforts last week, thanks to a $10,000 grant from Spectrum.
The grant was awarded through the 2024 Spectrum Digital Education program, which distributed a total of $1.3 million to 66 nonprofit organizations across the region.
Cle Elum City Councilmember Cassidy Buechle-Curtis recently earned a Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities, officials announced Friday.
