NEWS
Flood waters are expected to recede this week, however precipitation chances are in the forecast most of this week. A flood warning was in effect through this morning. This includes the following streams and drainages...Little Creek, Cle Elum River, Yakima River and Big Creek.
A full closure of the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 started yesterday as work ramps up on the replacement of the Bullfrog Road overpass west of Cle Elum. The shutdown of the westbound lanes will start Monday, Dec. 15.
Contractor crews will install new girders for the overpass. That work will continue through Friday, Dec. 19.
The Kittitas County Historical Society will offer a sneak peek of the museum’s plans for next year as the society hosts its annual meeting and holiday open house. The meeting and open house are Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Kittitas County Historical Museum. The annual meeting starts at 5 p.m., with the open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public, and more details are available on the museum’s website and Facebook page.
The Holiday Home School Party takes place today at 12:00 PM at the Hal Holmes Community Center.
The Ellensburg Public Transit Advisory Committee meets today at 3:30 PM at the Ellensburg City Council Conference Room.

WHAT'S FOR LUNCH AT THE FISH OPEN TABLE?
The FISH Open Table Lunch schedule is not out for December but we know the lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
