NEWS

Emergency responders from King and Kittitas counties rescued a woman and her dog who fell through the ice at Gold Creek Pond at Snoqualmie Pass late last week. “We believe she got into this incident because her dog went on the ice and she went after it,” said Christopher Whitsett, an inspector with the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was trapped in the water for approximately 40 minutes before responders arrived.
