Kittitas County will turn to Ellensburg for help as the county looks to bridge a potential shortfall in funding for the rodeo grandstands project at the Kittitas Valley Event Center. County officials met Monday to get an update on the financial status of the renovations to the Ellensburg Rodeo Arena. Due to multiple changes on the grandstand replacement project, staff estimates now show the project is expected to exceed available funding by $750,000.

Celebrate the Museum of Culture and Environment's newest exhibit, X-Ray Vision: Fish Inside Out, an exhibition from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, showcases 40 dramatic prints exposing the inner workings of fish. The FISH Open Table Lunch is Chicken Teriyaki, Stir Fry Vegetables, Jasmine Rice, and Mandarin Oranges. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
