The deadline is nearing for applications for grants from the Kittitas County Law and Justice Council. Each year, funding is dedicated for the grant program from the county’s law-and-justice sales tax. Successful grant applications must fit the mission of the Law and Justice Council and the purpose of the criminal justice tax that supports the funding.

Two students from Ellensburg are academic standouts at Spokane Community College. The college has announced its honor roll for the 2025 spring quarter, which ended in June. Noel Espinoza-Ceja and Emily Malinowski were both named to the list of outstanding achievers.
