Central Washington Disability Resources celebrated the grand opening of its new Yakima office. Headquartered in Ellensburg, CWDR has provided services across Central Washington since 1981.

The city of Ellensburg already recognizes Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Juneteenth; and Indigenous People’s Day on social media. But it will now also recognize New Year’s Day; Presidents’ Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Veterans’ Day; Thanksgiving; and Christmas.

Registration is still open for Kittitas Environmental Education Network’s summer day camp, and thanks to a $5,000 grant, more families than ever can attend.

The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
