Repairs to the Bullfrog Road overpass on Interstate 90 are expected to cost more than $8 million. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, a temporary span will also be raised over I-90 to replace the part of the overpass that was removed late last week after it was struck by a semi truck Local officials — in a letter to the governor, the Washington State Department of Transportation, and ranking members of the House and Senate transportation committees — are asking for a timeout so a more comprehensive look can be done at future improvements that are needed in the I-90 corridor. The letter is expected to be sent to elected leaders in Olympia and Washington, D.C., as well.
