Central Washington University has launched a website called the College Toolkit. The site recently went live, and officials said it gives prospective students — specifically those from underrepresented backgrounds — valuable information about how to apply to college and get financial aid.
The city of Cle Elum has ordered mandatory water conservation measures in response to the Department of Ecology’s order last week that shut down any diversion of surface water in the Yakima Basin.

The City of Ellensburg Finance Department located on the first floor of City Hall will be closed on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow staff to attend training. The department will reopen on Friday, October 10, 2025.

CWU’s Women’s Volleyball plays Western Oregon at 7 p.m. today at home

WEATHER

LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is ham and bean stew with garlic toast and Chef’s choice fruit. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
