Ellensburg has inked an agreement with HopeSource to acquire a four-duplex project on South Pearl Street that will be used for affordable housing. The city council unanimously approved a contract with HopeSource for the purchase of the project. Addison Place Apartments, currently under construction, includes six studio apartments and two one-bedroom apartments.
Kittitas County officials are throwing their support behind a proposal to designate the Interstate 90 bridge across the Columbia River near Vantage as the “Medal of Honor Bridge.”. Kittitas County commissioners approved a letter to the Washington State Transportation Commission on Sept. 8 to support the designation.

Wildcat Farm U-Pick Flower Night Takes place tonight at 5:00 PM at the CWU Wildcat Farm. The U-Pick Flower Nights are back at the Wildcat Farm! This is your chance to walk through the rows, choose your favorite blooms, and cut your very own unique bouquet. Vases are included while supplies last. CWU Women’s Soccer begins this week with CWU playing Eastern Oregon, in Monmouth, Oregon at noon today.
CWU Women’s Volleyball is playing Hawaii-Hilo in Honolulu at 3 p.m. today
The Cross Country team competes tomorrow at the Cougar Classic in Colfax at 5 p.m.

LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is a Greek Chickpea Pasta Salad with Oranges. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
