NEWS
Washington Forest Service staff fired in the last month due to budget cuts have been reinstated. On March 5, the Merit Systems Protection Board issued a 45-day stay blocking the February move to fire probationary employees at the Forest Service.
The City of Ellensburg Natural Gas Division will be performing annual field survey work during the next several months. Crews will need unobstructed access to the gas meter. If pets live outside, call (509) 962-7124 to schedule a date/time when they can be inside or kenneled.
The Cle Elum City Council Planning Commission meets today at 6 p.m. at the Cle Elum City Council Chambers. The Public Works & Community Development Commission meets tomorrow at noon at the Cle Elum City Council Chambers.
The Spring Involvement Fair will take place at 11:30 a.m. today at the SURC Ballroom for students to learn how to get more involved.
Good Life Community Discussions: Navigating Difficult Conversations will take place at 6:00 PM at the Hal Holmes Center.

Former Ellensburg High School coach Randy Affholter will be inducted into the Washington State Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame
The Central Washington Univeristy women's 4x100 meter relay team, featuring Elise Hopper, Zoe Gonzales, E'lexis Hollis, and Ashlyn Nielsen, set a new GNAC and school record with a time of 45.15 seconds. They are now ranked #3 in the NCAA Division II.
The Central Washington University Men’s Baseball team lost 11-8 in their first game and lost 10-3 in the second game on Saturday.
Central Washington’s Men’s Track team travels to Spokane, Washington to compete in the Whitworth Peace Meet on Friday, April 4th at Puryear Field/Boppell Track at Whitworth Pine Bowl.

The FISH Open Table Lunch is Ground Beef Taco Bowl, Seasoned Rice, Salsa Verde, Cheese, Beans, Peppers, Corn, Sour Cream and Peaches. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
