The Bureau of Reclamation’s August 2025 forecast of total water supply available for the Yakima Basin indicates the water supply will not fully meet irrigation demands this season, officials have announced. The Total Water Supply Available for the May 20–September period indicates senior water rights will receive 100% full entitlements, but junior water rights will receive 40% of their full entitlements.

Ellensburg councilmembers will host another session of Coffee with City Council next week. The session is 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Ellensburg Adult Activity Center.


Ellensburg will spend $160,000 to replace the Kittitas Valley Memorial Pool & Fitness Center HVAC system and flat roof.

The roof and system above the office, fitness room and locker room are the top priorities to maintain the facility, city officials said
