Learn about hatchery rearing and spawning, adult translocation from the lower Columbia River, habitat and diversion surveys, cultural significance to tribal members and other educational outreach.

There is a AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TUESDAY TO 7 AM PST FRIDAY...Poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants. This includes portions of central, north central, and northeast Oregon and central, south central, and southeast Washington.


The Summit at Snoqualmie’s Alpental ski area has opened for the new winter season with its brand-new Edelweiss triple chairlift, otherwise known as Chair 2.


A reminder that City facilities will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. City facilities will reopen on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.


Storytime for Preschoolers  and Storytime for Toddlers takes place today at 10:15 am for pre-schoolers and 11:15 a.m. for toddlers at  the Ellensburg Public Library

WHAT'S FOR LUNCH AT THE FISH OPEN TABLE?


The FISH Open Table Lunch is Creamy Chicken and Rice with Peaches.  The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
