The city of Ellensburg put out a request for bids for a tree-trimming contract to clear branches away from power lines, but rejected all four of them at Monday’s city council meeting.
The city may need to upgrade its current power system, and the Bonneville Power Administration may also have to upgrade its transmission network to transmit the wholesale power needed for the city to provide retail electric service to the WinCo facility, according to city documents.
The Ellensburg City Council voted — with one abstention — to support the Kittitas Valley Healthcare levy lid lift at its last council meeting.
Roslyn officials raised concerns about getting proper notice from Kittitas County of housing development outside of town during the city council’s meeting last week.
