The daily rate for dry camping during the Kittitas County fair and rodeo will go up by $10 this year.
A barbecue lunch to honor Ron Mitchell as the 2025 Cattleman of the Year will be held Tuesday, June 10.
The Kittitas County Treasurer’s Office is changing it’s office hours and will now close at 3 p.m. Fridays.
Kittitas County commissioners said they weren’t ready, just yet, to pass a proclamation that underscores the county hasn’t declared itself a “sanctuary county.”
The Ellensburg City Council OK’d extending the city’s low-income discount program eligibility threshold to those at or below 40% Area Median Income .
The City Of Ellensburg DEI Commission awarded $5K in grants to four community organizations. The Valley Voices Community Choir will receive $1,320 for four community performances. The Kittitas County Recovery Community Organization will receive $800 for its 509teens annual back-to-school event. Ellensburg Ski Team will use its allotted $800 for event signage, promotional materials, and outreach as well as winter clothing and gear. Central Washington University is receiving $1,310 on behalf of the Juneteenth Planning Committee, and all of the funding will go toward music on the day of the community celebration June 19.
Anderson Road will be closed this week, June 9-13, to install sewer infrastructure as part of the Winco Distribution Center project.

LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is a Tuna Salad Sandwich with Fruit Salad. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
