The board held a special meeting Friday to review Wohlpart's job performance after a faculty-wide vote last month in which 306 of 455 faculty members cast votes of no confidence in his leadership. Board Chairman Jeff Hensler said the board is standing by Wohlpart, adding that the board has been in regular communication with faculty leaders and officials in Olympia since the vote.

Councilmembers Palmer and Thompson voted against the change.
