Candidates finished filing for public office last week. In the city of Ellensburg City Council Position One, Nancy Liliquist and Geraldine O’Mahoney will face off against John Sinclair. In position 2, Jose Perez, Jr, Owen Blauman and Nancy Goodloe are all running. In position 3, Delano Palmer will face Fennelle Miller and Sam Ezell.
There was a water main break south of 6th Avenue between Cle Elum St. and Wenas St. Crews will have to shut down three blocks to isolate the break. Please avoid the area.
The Kittitas County Master Gardener Plant Clinic will be held to day at 11:30 a.m. at The Armory.
The Ellensburg Library Board will meet today at 4:30 in the City Council Conference Room.
The Roslyn and Cle Elum City Councils will meet today. Roslyn at 5 pm and Cle Elum at 6 p.m. at their City Halls.

Eli Nash, a sophomore at Kittitas High School, has thrown more than 200 strikeouts this year.
Ellensburg Boys Baseball beat Toppenish 8-5 but then lost to Othello 12-2 in the semifinals.
Othello beat Ellensburg 12-2 in Girls Softball on Saturday in 5 inning in the quarterfinal eliminations.
Othello beat the Ellensburg Boys Soccer team 1-0 on Saturday.
WEATHER

LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is Chicken Alfredo with Pasta, Mixed Vegetables and Pears.. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
