Five graduating art students will present their senior artworks in “Salon of the Five Aces,” a group exhibition that opens next week at Gallery 100 in Randall Hall at Central Washington University. The show includes the art of Milady Armendariz, Evelyn Garza, Ruth Douglas, Nyx Kolman and Meredith Montgomery. All five are bachelor of arts students at CWU.
The city of Ellensburg has launched a community survey to get public input on local challenges, priorities, and city-managed programs and services. City staff said the goal is to better understand community perspectives. Feedback from the survey will help establish community-centered strategic goals for Ellensburg. The survey is available at https://arcg.is/1ySfra3 and will end on Sunday, May 10.
In Local Events: The Economic Outlook Conference is at 9 a.m. today at Lombard Hall. This year’s conference theme is 'Workforce, AI, and the Future of Regional Jobs,' with a particular focus on how artificial intelligence is reshaping roles across industries and how students and professionals can best prepare for these changes
The Lion’s Rock Visiting Writers Series features Nora Wendl at noon today at the Multicultural Center’s Multipurpose Room. NORA WENDL is a creative writer, artist, and associate professor of Architecture at the University of New Mexico.

WHAT'S FOR LUNCH AT THE FISH OPEN TABLE?
The FISH Open Table lunch tomorrow is a Beef Burrito with Seasoned Ground Beef, a cabbage salso and whole fruit. The senior lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table at 204 North Main Street, and noon to 1 p.m. at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
