NEWS
A group of residents opposed to a proposed beef-processing plant in Kittitas has filed a lawsuit against the city, claiming the approval of the project was “clearly erroneous.” Concerned Citizens of Kittitas brought the suit in Kittitas County Superior Court on April 22.
The Ellensburg location among 10 Pacific Northwest Sonic Drive In Locations has closed at least temporarily because of a financial dispute.
The Ellensburg Landmarks and Design Commission meets today at 5:45 p.m. at the Ellensburg City Council Chambers.

SPORTS
The Central Washington University Men’s Baseball team lost 11-2 in their first game but won 7-6 in their second game against Montana State Billings over the weekend.
Ellensburg High School’s boys varsity soccer team earned a hard-fought win when they traveled to Yakima and beat the East Valley Red Devils 1-0.
WEATHER
The forecasted high today in Ellensburg is 75 degrees with a low of 42 degrees. The sunset is at 8:20 p.m. with winds out of the Southeast at 10 - 15 MPH.
LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is Ham and Bean Soup with a Roll. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
