The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners will convene today in Ellensburg and consideration is on the agenda for an inter-local agreement with the City of Ellensburg regarding pooled opioid-settlement funds and a resolution to allocate grants from the county’s 1/10th of 1 % sales-tax reserve.
The cold weather shelter in Ellensburg is tentatively scheduled to open Monday, Nov. 24. The city of Ellensburg and HopeSource have reached agreement on a license for use of leased space at Grace Church.
The replacement of the Bullfrog Road overpass on Interstate 90 will start before the end of November, state transportation officials have announced. The bridge was hit and severely damaged by a truck with an over-height load in late October.
As part of countywide civic engagement efforts, Kittitas County has opened new volunteer-recruitment efforts for boards and commissions — residents who wish to have a say in land use, public health, veterans’ services or parks are being invited to apply.
