NEWS
The final fall numbers at Central Washington University show that 2025 enrollment is essentially flat, university officials said. Total enrollment for fall is 2.3% below the fall 2024 headcount. While lower, it’s much improved from the 9% decline seen in fall 2021 during the pandemic.
Kittitas County Coroner Nicholas “Nick” Henderson has passed away, county officials announced Wednesday. Henderson was elected in 2015 and served as the first elected coroner in Kittitas County. County commissioners unanimously appointed Chief Deputy Coroner Cori McKean at a special meeting Wednesday to serve as acting coroner.
The Bullfrog Road overpass on Interstate 90 near Cle Elum will be demolished and replaced, the Washington State Department of Transportation

CWU Women's Soccer lost to Montana State Billings 2-1 on Saturday.
CWU’s Women’s Volleyball won 3-0 vs Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.
CWU’s Football team won 56-13 vs. Midwestern State on Saturday.

The FISH Open Table Lunch is Ground Beef and Mushroom Gravy with a roll and Chef’s Choice Fruit. . The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
