Hertz Concert Hall.    Central Washington University Bands invites the community to a spectacular musical celebration at the final concert of the 2024-2025 academic year, featuring performances by the CWU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Wild Wild Pride Parade, Downtown Ellensburg. (See comments for parade route.) Start 11AM.  Tune into Ellensburg Community Radio for music by DJ Taylor.  Join DJ Banshee, Blue Bear Puppet Lab,  and ECR for a fun afterparty at THE INK, 405 N. Main St., Ellensburg.  Free/ All Ages 11AM-2PM

 

Bike Month Activities, Unity Park Downtown Ellensburg.  (4th Ave and Pearl St.)  Bike handling fun and games. Bring your bike! FREE youth helmets and fitting, bike bell, and bike light giveaways. Independent Order of Odd Fellows will be giving away free used reconditioned bikes (sizes vary). Bring old bike tubes for recycling and donate extra bike parts. Challenge a friend to a stationary bike race. Safety resources and local trail information. More info at www.ellensburgwa.gov/bikemonth  

 

Mountain Cleanup @ Snoqualmie Summit East    Clean up from 10AM to 11AM.  Free Pizza from 11AM-12PM   PLUS Trash bingo!   Turn your cleanup effort into a game with Trash Bingo! Carmina Burana @ CWU Dr. Wayne S. Hertz Concert Hall, music building.   Under the direction of Nikolas Caoile, the CWU Symphony Orchestra will be joined by CWU Chamber Choir and Vox Divina (Nicole Lamartine, director), Wildcat Chorus (Scott Peterson), and University Chorale (Vijay Singh) to perform the 75-minute cantata based on themes of fate, wealth, fortune, and the perils of drinking, gambling, gluttony, and lust. The concerts will also guest soloists McKayla Sherman (soprano), Tor Blaisdell (tenor), José Rubio (baritone), and a youth chorus made up of students from Ellensburg's elementary schools.  $20 Tickets available online. 7PM (additional performance available on Sunday)

@ Mike’s Tavern and online. The 2025 Rainier Revival is coming!!! Holy cow is it June already? The staff at Mike's Tavern is stoked to be part of the Revival this year and will be running all over the county the next four weeks on their way to the Revival. We'll post pics of their last whereabouts and you've got to tell us where they are! We will be giving an award-winning grinder out daily as you round up and catch the Mike's crew on their way to the Rainier revival! Join the fun June 1st as we play "Where's the crew?" Follow Mike's on FB & Instagram to play, no purchase necessary just a knowledge of our great county! Winners will be announced daily.See you at Mike's!
