Road closures today
There will be two separate road closures for tree removal today. Pine Street will be closed from University Way to Seventh Ave. with a partial closure and traffic revision on University Way from B to C streets. The 300 block of South Sampson Street will be closed from Washington to Tacoma avenues.
Holiday closures
City of Ellensburg offices will close at noon on Christmas Eve and be closed on Christmas Day. There is no Central Transit fixed route or paratransit service on Christmas Day. The Adult Activity Center is closed Dec. 24 through 26th. Kittitas County offices will be closed all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with the exception of court services which will close at noon on Christmas Eve.

Results from the weekend of high school hoops
In high school basketball this weekend, the Ellensburg boys fell to Prosser, 62-58, on Friday, and lost 81-65 to Grandview on Saturday. The Bulldog girls defeated Prosser, 72-58, on Friday, and topped Grandview, 62-42, on Saturday to remain undefeated for the season. The Kittitas boys defeated White Swan, 61-54, on Friday, and lost to Manson, 59-41, on Saturday. The Coyote girls defeated White Swan, 59-29, on Friday, and beat Manson, 58-33 on Saturday. The Cle Elum-Roslyn boys defeated Goldendale, 59-56, on Friday. The Warrior girls defeated Goldendale, 79-28, on Friday.
LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is beef chili, cornbread and peaches. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Ellensburg, and noon to 1 p.m., in Cle Elum. Meal sites are the Ellensburg Open Table and the Cle Elum Seventh-day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg location.
