CWU Art Exhibit “Tethered”, A new exhibition of student artwork will open this week at Central Washington University.
The Ellensburg Running Club is partnering with the FISH Food Bank to raise funds for the food bank in a new event this year. The Ellensburg Running Club is a group of local runners that started about a year ago and is already 40 members strong. The Ellensburg Mile is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday, June 1. It is open to anyone, and participants can run, jog or walk.
The Central Washington University Board of Trustees approved a tuition reduction for its graduate-level programs in the College of Business.
Susan Kaspari of the geology department was named the recipient of the 2025 Board of Trustees Distinguished Faculty Award, an honor that only comes once every two years. Patrick McCutcheon and Matt Martinson were awarded the Distinguished Teaching Awards; McCutcheon in the tenure-track category, while Martinson was recognized in the non-tenure-track category.

Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band Concert @CWU McIntyre Music Building Dr. Wayne S. Hertz Concert Hall. Central Washington University Bands invites the community to a spectacular musical celebration at the final concert of the 2024-2025 academic year, featuring performances by the CWU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. The FISH Open Table Lunch is a Pulled Pork Sandwich with mixed vegetables and peaches. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
