NEWS
Central Washington University President Jim Wohlpart was recently appointed to the NCAA Division II Executive Board and will start his two-year term on Jan. 18.
The executive board serves as the highest governance office for Division II sports
City offices are closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday. City offices will reopen on Monday, December 1.
There is no Ellensburg Central Transit fixed route or paratransit service on Thursday, November 27. Regular transit service will resume on Friday, November 28.
LibraryThe Ellensburg Public Library will be closing early, at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, November 26, and will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.
Recreation Facilities
The Adult Activity Center will be closed Wednesday, November 26 (to host the Community Thanksgiving Dinner)-Sunday, November 30, 2025.
The Stan Bassett Youth Center will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.
The Kittitas Valley Memorial Pool will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28. The Pool will reopen with regular operating hours on Saturday, November 29.
There’s a Free Thanksgiving Dinner today at The Time Out Saloon at 101 S. Main St in Kittitas from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
There’s a free Thanksgiving meal at the Brickhouse Gardens And Nursery at 7243 Manastash Road from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. today
SPORTS
Central Washington University Men’s Basketball team plays Point Loma at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow in Seattle and plays Vanguard also in Seattle at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Central Washington University’s Women’s Basketball plays San Francisco State in Bellingham tomorrow at noon and plays RV Mary on Saturday at noon.
